First Aid Instructor (3 days)
Aimed at qualified First Aiders, this first aid instructor course is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach and assess a wide range of approved First Aid courses.
Once qualified, first aid instructors will be permitted to set up their own first aid training programmes or work as a 'freelance first aid trainer'. Excellent qualified first aid instructors may even apply to work for Avocet Medical.
Avocet Medical is based in Fareham in Hampshire but we offer our courses at venues throughout Hampshire and adjoining counties. We have established venues in Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Chichester, Reading and Basingstoke but we also arrange course in other venues as required.

- Mini First Aid refresher
- The concept of learning
- Presentation methods
- Monitoring student progress
- The balance between first aid theory and practice
- Casualty simulation and practical scenarios
- Examinations and assessments
- Preparing first aid course documentation
- Running your own first aid course
