Paediatric First Aid (2 days or 12 hours)
For carers of children and babies, this first aid course is designed for staff of nursery schools, crèches, playgroups or holiday clubs. It is also suitable for childminders. The syllabus is designed specifically around paediatric first aid and meets the Ofsted registration requirements.
Course Content Includes:
- Recognition of priorities and summoning help
- Basic Life Support - including airway management and CPR
- Care of an unconscious child
- Management of asthma, epilepsy and anaphylactic shock
- Management of wounds, bleeding and shock
- Management of fractures, burns and poisoning
- How to deal with bumps and bruises
- First Aid box contents (suitable for children and babies)
- How to record accidents and incidents
